Florida Telco Credit Union?
I hate to keep asking so many questions but then I see a thread that reminds me of something else I forgot. We belong to a credit union here and have for about 13 years. We just assumed we would join the credit union down there rather than a bank. We see that there is a Florida Telco Credit Union. Does anyone have any experiences banking with them, good or bad? Would you recommend them over a bank or is there a bank in Orange park that you think is better? Thank you so much!

We also belong to a credit union, but ours is in Massachusetts. We never changed when we moved away in 1997 because we can do everything by direct deposit, online, by phone, or by mail. If you're happy with your PA CU, would that be a possibility?
Getting cash is easy - ATMs are everywhere - and can even be free (no fees) through certain ATMs (two free ones for us are at Publix and at Florida TelCo CU).
CUs on Fleming Island include Florida TelCo (in the same retail center as Publix, next to Eagle Harbor), Community First (somewhere on Hwy 220), and Vystar (off Hwy 17 across from Eagle Harbor).

Florida Telco Credit Union is good place and the people are nice. All our experiences in dealing with them have been good.

Thank you for your responses. I wouldn't have known about the others. I will check into them when I get down there and compare the benefits, hours, etc.

I have a Vystar CU and a Florida Telco CU account. While I love the people at Florida Telco, Vystar is the winner simply for convenience. There are probably 10 Vystar ATM's and branches for each Telco branch, and Vystar is open until 3 on Saturday which makes it worth it to me.

Im also a member of Vystar Credit Union, Navy Federal, and Florida Telco. Vystar wins by far. They have many, many branches, very convenient, and very friendly. I have never gotten less than great service every time I have gone in the branch. Florida Telco is nice, they just have hardly any branches and is completely inconvenient for me. The one location near me is always difficult to get a parking spot. There is a Vystar on every side of town, and numerous ATM's scattered around.
