you can have consensual sex with a 15 year old in FLA? in most states that is called statutory rape, regardless of consent being granted, are you really what you say you are?

Love this. Let's blame the victim, and let's assume that she was a naughty girl telling tall tales. I still don't see why parents wouldn't want to get to the bottom of this, unless they had something to hide. They're acting guilty, otherwise why not help the police and tell them what they know?

One has to be an adult for "statutory rape" sir! Are you saying 15 year olds are not sexually active? If you belive that you should visit the public assistance or child support office!
Again lets wait on the details, if there proof beyond a reasonable doubt I hope they get the maximum sentence.
I personally have made no accusations or denial of the charges I was not there.

I'm not blaming the victim! I was not there! What would have happend to the media convicted kids at Duke if they did not have proper council.
My point is wait on the facts!

Yes 18 is an adult! I have no idea how many of them if any were over 18.
If they were over 18 the police would not need parental consent to interview or charge them therefore I suspect few if any were adults. "Circling the wagons" by the parents would have been useless
If you look at it by age if they were over 18 they were "graduates" of Bolles not students.
Ted Bundy was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and The University of Washington is that important in the real picture!
We live in a society where you can't say a bank robbery suspect was black, white, oriental or green! Why sensationalize a story? It sells papers?

it was reported that it was a GRADUATION PARTY, if so I would think that some of the attendees were 18. Like I said, it appears that the Neptune PD is inept or incompetent, what else would you think? no charges for anything and according to the reports many crimes were committed
I have no clue what ted bundy has to do with this, I guess your cop obfuscation tactics are kicking in

Good vocabulary! I have not seen that word since Interviews and Interrogations.
My point is I have no idea what The Bolles School has to do with this either! Why not " High school Gang Rape at Neptune Beach." No other schools were mentioned
In Florida a police arrest for most misdemeanors the offense has to occur in the presence of the officer. Beer bottle in hand, etc. There are a few exceptions retail theft, defrauding an inkeeper. Going in much later and seeing bottles will not meet these guidelines.
If the victim could point out the person or persons that assaulted her and they were an adult a felony probable cause arrest would have made. (I hope)
The case is firmly in the hands of the State Attorneys Office. The prosecuter will have to petition a judge with the evidence and seek a warrant or capias.
Again. I don't want to deminish the seriousness and pain caused by this whole ordeal. This has potential to ruin many lives.
We just want to be sure of the facts before the execution!
Not, lets's bring this guilty sob in and give him a fair trial!

Kwilli, would it be possible to take DNA from everyone who attended the party? I assume they did a rape kit on the girl at Shands. I'm just wondering how seriously this all will be taken. Even the poster on the prior page called it something like a "youthful indiscretion".

I think that when private school kids are involved in these things its always mentionned. Look at Duke. People are going to be more interested because they're thinking, "these kids had all the benefits, all the perks in life. Things shouldn't be going this way for them" which is wrong, but its the way people think. If this happenned at some public high school graduation party in central Florida it probably wouldn't be newsworthy, unfortunately. Its that sort of "these kids should know better" mentality, right or wrong.
