I am a 50 year old male, new to the area, can anyone tell me where a guy like me goes out at night for some fun?
I really don't care for the places I've seen in Jax Beach, too many 20 somethings. I am looking for places that cater to a more mature/affluent crowd Thanks |

If you haven't poked around San Marco yet, give it a try. There are some wine and tapas bars, gallery events, etc.
Maybe others can suggest some names? I'm in a homey-phase right now and don't get out a whole lot! Oh, and if you haven't seen it, there's a magazine called "Jacksonville" (you can find it in Publix, B&N, etc.) and it has all the ads and some editorial covering more upscale nightlife and such. |

I agree, I can remember going to the beach and looking around and saying "omg I could be most of these kids Mom" I did notice "Ragtime" had a more mixed age group, another place to check out might be the "Sea Turtle Inn" Both are in Neptune Beach The Marriott at Sawgrass(Ponte Vedra), there was this great "pub" I went to a few years ago, It was really nice the crowd was more in my age group(40'+) there was a band that played music I had heard of You might give these places a try Karla |

There are piano and cigar bars off A1A in PVB.
No drink specials though, but you did say affluent! |
