The price is excellent and the food is great, plus in my humble opinion, the gyros and pizza are the best in Jacksonville. Doesn't hurt that I live a mile from there

Waffa & Mikes on 1544 N. Main Street is VERY good. It's a new middle-eastern cafe in the Historic Springfield area (meaning that you don't have to be scared).

Karam's is great. It's on University, just south of Beach Blvd. They make their own meat and chicken loaves/roasts (not sure what they are called) for the shwarmas (gyros). Owned by a really nice family who had a restaurant in NYC for many years.
