Hello Everyone

Many of you are aware that Riveree has been taking a break from the city-data forums for awhile and that I have been taking her place here. I am not really going to change anything because she did such a great job that there is no need.

If you have any questions about this , please feel free to DM me & I will do my best to get back to you.

We're fortunate to have one of the friendlier forums on City-Data and it runs itself quite smoothly without much intervention from me. However, we've been running into a few small issues lately and I want to take a moment to be sure we're all on the same page.

I'm going to post some links here at the end and I hope you'll peruse them if you haven't done so already, please be sure to read the City-Data Terms of Service if you read nothing else.

Some of the issues we've been encountering lately are:

Personal Attacks: Be sure you are debating the idea and not attacking the person please

Staying on Topic: A little off-topic here and there is fine, but let's not abandon the Original Post entirely

Hijacking Threads: Asking for clarification is okay, but inserting your own inquiries into someone else's thread is considered hijacking - just start your own new thread instead (don't forget to provide details so we can properly answer your question! )

Advertising: [We have specific rules for realtors you can find in the TOS. If you're not a realtor but you want to sell your own home, you can list in the Classifieds but not on Jacksonville

I'll leave it at that - these seem to be the main issues lately. You won't be able to post to this thread, but if you have any questions, feel free to Direct Message me (just click on my screen name).
