It is sad. Only 4 of the 100 cats made it out. So far $30,000 has been raised which is great....but its not near the millions they need. The dogs are in temp shelters until they can go up for adoption at the begining of next week.

Tragedy. I had to work in a humane society once so it is sad to hear this news. Most of the pets I ever had growing up were adopted or taken from animal shelters. I agree, people need to spay and neuter their pets and we may not have to deal with this kind of issue as much. Besides, if you cannot afford a child you should not have one. Same thing goes with pets, they need proper care, too, and if you cannot afford to give them what they need (which includes spaying and neutering unless you want litters) then do not have a pet. I will not be in town for a while is there an address I can send a donation to or how long will the donations be available in the Wachovia Bank branches?
