Default aloha with update......
well things are moving right along for our move to orange park. our house is coming along.....we are getting bi-weekly updates and photos from our builders and if we call with a question they are on top of things and more than happy to help us out. we just selected an inspector and as soon as they are ready before the dry wall goes up he'll go out and inspect and keep us up to date.......I always thought this would be more difficult building this far away, but maybe it's easier because I can't drive past it 100 times and wonder why it isn't going faster.

I've contacted the kid's new schools and they have all been more than helpful! My oldest will go to Oakleaf JHS and my youngest will go to the new Plantation Oaks Elementary. I have been lucky enough to not have to move while my kids have been in school so I have alot of questions. I say we're lucky because my husband is Navy and we've been able to stay here for 8 years. That doesn't happen often.

Anyway we're anxious.....my husband has one last school in Pearl Harbor and then we are out of here. We have our plane tickets/pack out dates and all the fun stuff that comes with moving from Hawaii to Florida.

We look forward to it and are just anxious to BE there.

I'm sure as the time gets closer I'll want dentist reccomendations, pediatricians (I am willing to not use the base facilities unless someone knows a great ped. on base) and all that fun relocation stuff.

I told my husband last night that all the stress with moving from hawaii (well most of it is navy related) will make it easy to move!!

it is exciting to get pictures of our new house......I can't wait to get down there to explore. One of my best friends here grew up out by Ft. Caroline and lived in the Doctor's Lake area most of her adult life and was giving us the lowdown on their favorite places in Jax. I am excited!

Not until August! However that will ensure the house is finished and we can all travel together.

My husband has a school to finish in Pearl Harbor that will be after he checks out of his current command and then we'll fly out and drive cross country......and believe me after living on an island for 12 years, then driving cross country will make getting to my new house a welcome event!!!

I will! By the time we get there I will be DONE! two kids, a dog, my husband and me......phew.......

I hate sitting down too long....drives me crazy and I will be stopping alot along the way. I like diet coke too much and I am sure my husband will be tired of our tour of bathrooms cross country! haha

The dry air of an air-conditioned car also means that my roadtrips include many surveys of 'facilities' ... um, perhaps a fun subject for a book :-)
