Cool How is living in Gilchrist Co. east of 47

I was wondering on what life is like living west of SantaFe Community College and east of Bell. I have 5 acres to build a home, but it never seems like its the right time. Every time I go, it looks the same. Is there anything fun to do as 40+ professional adults, who like to stay active. What are the current construction prices for a new energy efficient home in that area. 2000sf. average commodities. Is Gainesville the only place to go to restaurants and have fun within an hour, or are there new places being built in that area. I heard that Gainesville is growing, and becoming more cultural. Can you give me an update.

That's really far from Jacksonville and I have no idea what's out there. Sorry for the worthless post, but I bet a lot of people reading this thread are thinking what I'm typing.

Default Very, very rural

You might get more information about Gilchrist County in the general Florida information or under Ocala. Gilchrist County is very, very rural. There really is not much there - farms, prisons, etc. If you want a laid-back, quiet life, it may be the place for you. If you want a variety of places to eat, movies, etc., you will find yourself driving to Gainesville alot! But if you own property there, you must know this.
