I usually stop mowing around the end of November. Occasionally, if the weather stays warm, one more cut may be required early December.

If I remember correctly mowed again the end of February, this was basically to tidy things up.

The important thing to remember if we don't get rain you will want to run your irrigation every 10 days.

I still have to cut the grass in the winter, but because the growth slows down dramatically, I only end up having to do it a few times, instead of weekly.

During the "winter" we mow twice a month at the very most. We could probably get away with once a month during maybe December and January. Some hardy weeds still grow, so occasional garden weeding is still necessary. But definitely during the colder months the yard maintenance tasks are less toilsome.

The only "bothersome" element of a northern FL winter are the fallen leaves from deciduous trees. Unlike up north, the leaves here fall over the course of "winter" and not all at the same time. Certainly not a major issue, but it is something I've had to deal with.

From Nov last yr to March this yr only had to mow once. Once or twice is typical for our area.

Sorry to say that if you have any deciduous trees, they do shed, thus when you move, do bring your rake (but only bring a snow shovel for the purpose of moving mulch :-)
