I was told by my english teacher that JU lost accreditation for certain degrees recently so I would research that if I were you but I know for sure back in 03 or so they were put on probation. Like someone already said, UNF is a much better school with a much better surrounding area.

The losing of accredidation is complete bunk. Every school that has a nearby rival says these things. I go to a tech school near Clemson University and every year the same rumor gets started about that very thing as well.

Fsu does it really matter? I proved to you that every single normal public high school that isnt a "magnet" in the city of jacksonville is a FAILING school except ONE and you still spam jacksonville schools are great. You would think you learned your lesson but apparently not. I am not going to debate with you which one is better, I just gave him MY opinion.

I am learning to never argue with idiots, I will always lose to experience.

Paul, could very well be true, thats why I told him to research it however with a quick google search you can see they were on probation to lose it but that was years ago.

Indeed most schools get on probation from time to time. I think the heads of nursing start it at my current school to get enrollment up or something. I just get tired of hearing that kinda thing every semester. It is a strange thing

"every single normal public high school that isnt a "magnet" in the city of jacksonville is a FAILING school except ONE"

is not true. at all. as in.....at all. many HS are, but you don't have to exaggerate.

JU is in a horrrrriiiiblleeee part of town. one of the worst in jacksonville.

sure theres some decent areas nearby, but the bad areas nearby (really nearby) and REAL bad.

theres high crime rate the minute you walk off campus. the campus and school itself is not bad.. a bit boring looking and super small... but you can definitely get a good education there.

i would firmly suggest applying to UNF as it is ten times nicer and in one of the bet areas of town. no worries walking around UNF at night at all.
oh, and its much much cheaper.
