My parents recently sold their house in New Jersey and are looking at homes in the Jacksonville area and Nassau County to the north. They are looking for a quiet, relaxed retirement community to buy a house. What area should they be looking into?

Do you mean they're looking for a retirement community as in a "55 years and over" kind of place? Or are they just looking to retire in the NorthEast Florida area in general?

If it's the latter, you'd want to post more specifics about what they are looking for (price range, type of house/condo, etc.)

Del Webb"Sweetwater" is a 55+ on the Southside 9A/Baymeadows area.
We haev friends who just had a house built.
The clubhouse is amazing !!
There are single houses, condos and carriage houses. I think they ended up paying right under $400k for 2000 sq ft.
