We are moving to Jax mid sept.. need a short term rental until we find something to buy... looking to stay in st.johns county or avenues mall area.. 2 bed rooms really need garage.. small dog (15lbs) need it for about 4 months .. I know it's a tall order but there seems to be tons of rentals, so thought Id give this a try....

Short term rentals are not as abundant as you might think. In Florida, any rental term that is 6 months or less a required to collect State Sales Tax. And, if the owner is going to collect Sales Tax, then they must be setup with the State to do just that. It's not something a lot of people are going to do, or even want to do. Plus, you'll probably pay a higher monthly rent, than if you were to sign a 7 or 12 month lease.

i can do a 6 month if I have to.. with an option to move out early without paying way to much penalty
