Relocating at the end of the month...HELPS
Hi everyone,
My girlfriend will be relocating to Jacksonville at the end of the month. She will be working for a bank on San Jose BLVD, zip 32210. Would someone please tell us the nice/bad/avoid area in Jacksonville. Thank you

San Jose blvd is the Mandrin area and one of the best areas of Jax. Anywhere over there and you should be just fine.

FYI, San Jose Blvd does NOT run through the zip code 32210. It runs through 32207, 32217, 32257, and 32223.

What range are you looking to spend rent wise ?
Will you also be working, if so what area so we can recommend a place convenient to both work locations.
San Jose blvd is very long and goes through many different areas south from Mandarin north till it turns into Hendricks Ave
So If her location is closer to Hendricks you might not want to be all the way down near the south end of Mandarin.

The San Marco neighborhood is the place to be in that part of town. Everyone loves it. A very walkable area with lots of parks, shops, cafes, botiques, weekend farmer's market, library, etc....right along the river.
Depending on where on San Jose she'll work, it could be a little drive (15 minutes, give or take) but the quality of life is great.
It's also just a few miles away from Downtown & the other more vibrant historic neighborhoods that surrond Downtown.
Plenty of Apartments.

i think that zip is 32257. least google maps says so.
if so, it's out near 2-95/9A.
the area i suggested would be a 15 minute drive or so, perhaps a little longer depending on traffic. i'd stick with that still, though if she wants a quick 5 minute drive then the 'burbs would be better. As someone said earlier, virtually that entire area is the same, nothing to be overly worried about.

You could look in the 32257 or the 32256 zip codes there are a lot of apts in the 9A/Baymeadows are and it would be a quick drive up 295 against traffic
I would also check under realtor.com for condo rentals there have been some really good deals out there.
