When am I supposed to seed and fertilize this stuff? I did it in early Oct. in Charlotte.

You don't seed St Augustine grass, if you have bare spots you can either use sod or plugs.

October is the usual month to weed-in-feed here, too. But it's been so unseasonably hot and humid (until this weekend) that the grass would suffer with a treatment.

I fertilize with Milorganite, an organic fertilizer that does not require any watering. It is a bit pricey but for greening it beats anything that I have tried in the past. But mawipafl is right, October is the month.
