Moving to Jacksonville from Australia

Why would someone leave Australia for FL, and Jacksonville of all places????

I am hoping you have at least spent time in Jacksonville and aren't doing this without visiting and research.

Football should be the least of your concerns.

I have a nephew that met a girl, got married and moved to Australia. My daughter always wanted to run away from home when she was a kid. Guess where she wanted to go to....that's right Australia. So, if you want to come to Jacksonville...come on. You're welcomed here. There is a lot of southern hospitality, great food, sports events, and awesome beaches.

well, it's a huge sign that alot of people like the gators. but they aren't in jacksonville. they are in gainesville 1-2 hours away depending on where you live. the jaguars are a plus AND minus here. it's a minus because there is so little support for them that the home games aren't even shown on television locally. however, because of the lack of support the tickets are very cheap compared to the rest of the NFL (national football league) franchises. so you can actually buy tickets with very little problem. For example, a jaguar ticket is about $30 USD minimum. Comparatively, a pittsburgh steeler ticket is sold out annually, the season ticket holders are on waiting lists and the only way you can buy a random ticket is to through a scalper for a minimum of $200 USD.
