I'm not sure of the exact meterological terms but it's basically low, damp cloud cover that gets trapped in the lower Appalachian mountains during the winter months. It comes and goes depending on the cold fronts that push through but it can sit there for days at a time. It could be 45 degrees, foggy & damp but 60-75 miles south at the Atlanta airport it will be 65 and sunny.... My only concern with Blairsville are your teenage sons. Once you get north of Forsyth County on GA400, you basically get more and more into mountain communities. It's either retirement/weekend cabins for Atlanta Folks or people that have lived there forever. There is not much for them to do up there on a daily basis especially the culture shock there are going to receive coming from Miami. Also, where are you going to work? I mean Blairsville is beautiful but you are 1-1/2 hrs from civilization.
