Where to tie up a boat downtown?
My Father-In-Law is bringing his boat for the week of Thanksgiving and I was wondering if there are any public places downtown that you can tie up. Not a boater myself, so I kneel before you all.

The Landing has a few spots. Not sure if over-night mooring is allowed.

The Landing is best place then. Though this weekend it will be pretty busy.... "Week of Valor"

We tied up a few times at the Jax Landing and had lunch at Hooter's. And, the city does allow boaters to spend 48 hrs (or 72 hrs, not sure) tied up there per month. Only other free tie-up area we know of is at the Marina by Metro Park. But, unless there is something happening at Metro Park, there is nothing to do at the Marina......except use the restrooms. But, if there is a Sunday Jags game going on at the Stadium, there is a charge to tie-up at the Marina by Metro Park.
