I know, its kind of frustrating. I was thinking about relocating there at one point from Orlando (FL native here). But it just seems like, although it's more southern in feel, and far more American feeling than Orlando (2 BIG pluses for me), it just seems like it's got more of the same problems... SJC is nice, and Mandarin, etc... still some nice places to live, but you really have to do your homework...

I have lived here for a long time, too long and am tired of it. There are things about this city I can not stand, mostly the school systems and crime but some of this stuff is pretty stupid.

Bad city to date in? There are plenty of people to date in this city and it has never been a problem for most. Where do they get a stat like this?

Most depressed city? I dont get this either, while I realize I am sick of it here since I have been here forever and then some, its not depressing to be here by any means. Maybe its the lack of jobs but thats most places?

Drinking water? We have known the water has been bad here for a long time, nothing new. I still drink it and I am still living.

Phoenix and Memphis have long been regarded as places that have the best tap water. Weird that both are omitted and leads me to question.

That is exactly what we did before we moved here! Only mistake we made was spending the money to move from Colorado to North Carolina/Charlotte area and spending a year there. The money we used to move to NC and live there for a year was a waste (for us). We thought we had done our homework before making that move........didn't do enough! NC/Charlotte area just wasn't for us.
Now, if only the employment here would get better!!! As far as the water here goes, we only drink bottled water.

That taste is high clorine, its easy to filter that taste out with a carbon filter but I do agree, it does taste bad.
