Anyone know of a place that sells Trikkes in our area? They can be new or used.

I've been getting e-mails for a couple years now from a Trikke store at Atlantic Beach. Yesterday I drove the 20 miles to the store and it is like a thrift shop filled to the gills with unrelated purses and other junk with about half a dozen Trikkes hanging on the back wall. The woman seemed upset that she had to actually get up from her chair in the back room and knew absolutely nothing about them. And she wouldn't allow me to go behind the counter to even look at them, let alone take one down to see it in its open state. Instead she gave me some POS brochure telling me that they have some in a warehouse in Mayport, but the guy only does this on the side, so you have to call ahead to go to the warehouse.

This is basically what I can do on a trikke...

but here are some real experts....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7Zto58LARk

I have a 6 and an 8.

From a Trikke web forum:

TRIKKE™ 6
The Trikke™ 6 cambering vehicle is designed for mid and older teens though the frame is large enough for some adults. It has 6 inch polyurethane wheels with a maximum recommended rider weight of 200 lbs. It has the patented Trikke quick release folding system for ease of storage. The six inch wheels and 17 lb. frame weight make the Trikke™ 6 three inches lower to the ground and 3.5 lbs. lighter than the Trikke 8. This means that freestyle riders have more control and the vehicle is easier to mount and dismount. Though not quite as fast as the Trikke 8, the Trikke 6 is fun, manueverable, less expensive and closer to the ground.

TRIKKE™ 8
Though older teens can definitely ride it, the Trikke 8 cambering vehicle is designed for adults who want a fast smooth ride. It has 8 inch polyurethane wheels an a larger frame with a recommended rider weight limit of 250 lbs. It has the patented Trikke quick release folding system for ease of storage. For riders looking for a fun way to excercise, to pleasure cruise, for transportation around town, or to buzz across campus, the Trikke 8 is definitely the model to have.

They fold up small enough to fit into the trunk of my VW, but the 6" one is hard to fold up, so I need it fixed. It has been like that since I bought them, so I know it's just some stupid thing that I did during assembly.

They are fun. There is a very active Trikke club in Duval. We have never gotten involved, but they regularly send out e-mail about planned outings, etc. http://www.firstcoasttrikkes.com/

We sold the 8" and will be selling the 6" before we move.
