we had to leave my cats at the Animal Walk for 10 days over Xmas. I thought they did a top notch job with them. I thought they'd be quite pissed off we left them there that long, but the cats were loving when we got there.

Thank you everyone for the info. Very helpful. I think Mandarin or Beauclerc sound perfect. I am excited to see JAX. Love that we can walk dogs on the beach.

It depends on the exact address (check w/ the school board for certain). It's more than likely Wolfson, but could also be Mandarin.

I drove through Beauclerc and I must say that area is quite nice. Full brick homes (which I love) and the neighborhoods still have the mature trees, etc.

We moved to Jax in June from NJ. I wanted larger lots and proximity to a good school for our 2 year old daughter. We setteled on Deerwood and we're very happy. She will be going to Jax Country Day next year which is very convenient to Deerwood and an excellent school. Good luck on you search!

Depending on where you move to, I recommend St. Augustine Beach. It is clean, not as crowded and there are lots of dog walkers. If you're interested in a newer community, Las Calinas, off of US 1 has lots of green areas, no CDDs and is going to connect to Palencia and Kensington.

Thank you for all the info. Does anyone know about Fruit Cove? Is it nice? I heard it is very congested. I think we are going to look @ NW St Johns area. So far I don't really like JCP. I do like a house on Cheryl St in Fruit Cove and wanted to know if that area is nice. Unfortunately we can't live in St Augustine too far from my husbands district for work.

Beauclerc or Mandarin would be both good choices. They are next to each other and while it is somewhat congested in the shopping areas, it is very convenient. Beauclerc's prices might be higher than Mandarin in general, but boy what a nice area! Hope you are into boating.

I am still looking for an area to live in Jacksonville. I liked JCP but have not found the right house. We found a house in Middleburg in a gated community. Any info on Middleburg? How are the schools compared to St Johns county? Crime? I looked at the sex offenders list and they seem to be in all the places we have looked at houses. I've been looking at crime stats for Middleburg and Jacksonville and it is making me anxious about living there. Is it as bad as it seems? Any info would help. Thank you.
