I am trying to find an outdoor garbage can with the following features:

34 gallon m/l
wheels
beige or brown (second choice)
square or oblong

As crazy as this sounds, I can't find one. Have been to Home Depot & Lowes in north, south and central FL (during other travel- not in search of the garbage can- ), have been to Curry Thomas Hardware here in Jax. Target, WalMart......

It's for a senior citizen friend who is schlepping her full, wheel-less garbage can to the road. She insists that she doesn't need wheels, but c'mon, who wouldn't like wheels?! So I am on a mission to find one that will fit and look better than the one that she currently is using AND has wheels.

If online is my only option, any sites that you would recommend?

Why don't you call the garbage company and ask them? In my town the requirements are so specific only a couple of places carry the right cans.

Thank you for your post.

She lives in south Florida and they don't have specific requirements in her town. But she has a certain place that she likes to keep her garbage can (no HOA), so I thought that getting one on wheels that is a good fit and color would make her happy.

My plans to visit her this week changed this afternoon due to an illness in my family, so I will do an online search. Have never given a garbage can as a gift before- LOL!

Wonder why people buy square garbage cans. Have yet to see a square plastic garbage bag.

Just an aside ...

Our trash cans can't be more than 32 gallons according to waste company. Perhaps that's why you can't find a 34 gallon one here. Robyn

P.S. We have a squarish one with wheels about that size (Rubbermaid). It's in every Home Depot in the greater Jax area.
