Good luck and it'll be great to hear what comes of the various upcoming hearings and court cases. These cases usually take a long time to get on the court calendar but just out of curiosity I'm going to bookmark this thread to see what transpires.

I must have misunderstood. I thought the man you fought with had filed against you or you against him, and also thought charges had been filed in the previous case involving another "client" where you sustained facial lacerations requiring stitches. Sorry for having made an obviously erroneous assumption.

I misunderstood what you were talking about.

In the case of your OP, you would be incorrect. I have court dates for both cases already.

You get the court date on the day on the incident. The arresting officer gives you the court date.

Not to mention, I will not be discussing that of this forum. That's not what this thread was about. It just happens to be apart of it.

Both threads were about me getting fired, not the outcome of criminal cases.

Sorry, I thought that this thread and the preceding related thread were all about the incident which led to your ultimately being terminated. I wasn't suggesting that the pending court cases themselves should be discussed in an open forum, merely that the ultimate resolution of those cases would be relative to the threads you created.

I will update what happens with the unemployment benefits situation........I think the Shelter is going to try and fight it.

It has to go to a hearing.....that's within a few weeks.

I don't see how you could possibly lose the unemployment claim. It may be too late for this but any concerns that you have in writing concerning the safety issues at your job would be handy right now. Times, dates, and the people involved would be great.

Good luck.

Have you considered contacting the EEOC to see if they think you have a cause of action? That's one of their mandates, to help people unjustly terminated. Maybe a nasty letter from them would get the shelter's attention and perhaps make them rethink their decision to contest your application for unemployment benefits. Couldn't hurt...
