my husband is in desperate need of finding a job hes been in the oil field for 15 yrs knows everything about a rig inside n out but we live n texas where everything went down and he is willing to go anywhere to work again

Alaska is probably the best bet, or off-shore in the Gulf.

I guess Oil work is in a recession again with cheap oil due to a depressed economy. Even National Oilwell Varco wouldn't hire me when they needed new work to be done... - there was a hiring freeze. And Dow Chemical has had layoffs too.

And I think the situation is bad everywhere.

You could learn Proengineer and be a CAD Designer for Oil rigs at Schlumberger and Hydril but they didn't hire me for that either.

Helmerich & Payne. I am not in the oil business, but they are one of my top clients. The company is based in Oklahoma and they have offices in Texas.
