A few weeks ago I wrote about my offer being rescinded, well today I was kind of moping and feeling sorry for myself and get a call. HR for my company tells me I can pick up my hiring package, and sorry for the delay!

I am elated. The salary is amazing, and far more than I have ever asked for, I will have several employees reporting to me. The only difference from before is I will only have 6 employees instead of 12, and I'll be reporting to a director instead of the CEO.

Miracles do happen, and I'm going to be working for an iconic American company. Probably most of you use them, and you all have heard of them and would know of them right away. I won't say the name, but we are at least as recognizable as UPS, Hershey, or Nissan. And I will be rubbing elbows with the top! Feels just great.

I'm nothing special, and if I can make it, so can you all. I learned alot of patience through this and am glad that I didn't say my mind when they rescinded!

That is awesome to hear. I had a friend that had the same happen to him. He turned it down for a better opportunity but he too was down on himself and moping around. Good things happen when you give it your all and be patient.

Congratulations. I hope you'll use this experience to recognize that a lot of people out there have been looking for jobs too. And just because they haven't had the luck you've had doesn't mean they aren't trying. It's far too easy for people to assume the unemployed are sitting at home doing nothing.
