So, I had two interviews this past Wednesday afternoon. I felt they both went extremely well, and left feeling more positive than I ever have. They both said they had interviews scheduled for the rest of the week (though I'm not sure how many). I hope it's okay that I haven't heard back from them by the end of the business day today (Friday). However, I'm not used to sending follow up emails, as I just started doing that. I haven't sent one to either employer, and I'm not sure if 2 days later is too late to remember.

I'm holding out hope I'll have some good news by Monday or Tuesday. But, do you think 5pm on Friday is too late to send out an email?

I have made 3 hires since the end of last year, and in every case my
decision was made before the candidate "thank you" e-mails arrived.

Don't worry about it, that alone will not change anyone's decision.

It's very nice to get though.

I don't think two days is too late to send. You can still send it now if you want.

Well, one of the jobs re-listed the ad, so it looks like I wasn't good enough for it anyway

The other one did the opposite and took the job off, and I don't have an email address. So, I guess I'll just wait & see! I really have to start remembering to do that, haha

In the future you can use snail mail as well as e-mail when you do not have an e-mail address. Or, request a business card from the interviewer at the end of the interview.
