After two years of unemployment, I finally landed an offer from a large F100 company doing supply chain strategy/procurement. I did the impossible and made a career switch from finance and accounting. To be fair, it is a contract to hire job but it is a job nevertheless (I did not get this job through a recruiter btw). The whole interview process took a mere two days and I got the offer a few hours after I finished my interview. My commute is also less than 5 minutes away from my home.

In the past two years, I interviewed for over 55 different positions and had around 80 interviews in total. I also networked with close to a hundred people and had to endure a lot of humiliation during my time searching for work. I made a thread before about my job search experience and I will post it again:

Anyways, I hope this old thread is helpful to people in this forum. I also hope that I can inspire some people and show them that it isn't completely over. I mean I was unemployed for 2 years which is considered a death sentence for those are job hunting.

Congrats!

Better to be employed than unemployed these days.
