Anyone here feel really stupid and inadequate in job interviews b/c of your resume? My work experience is pretty weak so far (I'm 25) and I haven't really made use of my degree. I can't help but feel like the person interviewing me is thinking, "Why is this kid BSing me like this with key words like "attention to detail" and "task-driven" when its obvious he hasn't had any real responsibility nor developed any real skill-set?"

I feel like such a dumb phoney in there. I know I'm capable of doing anything I set my mind to, but I can totally empathize with the person interviewing me b/c based on what I've shown so far he has no reason to want to take a gamble on me! Man its discouraging.

Take a look at this short article on what a job interview is really about. http://www.city-data.com/forum/work-...lly-about.html

If you want, send me your resume and the description for the job that you are applying for, I'll tell you what I think.

If your resume was that bad, why would they bother to interview you? We go through them and only invite 10% or less for an interview normally. Sometimes you can use non-work experience and skills that apply to the work you would be doing. Perhaps volunteer work, school or even hobbies.
If you are lucky, there may not be many others that look better on paper, then you really have to sell yourself in the interview.
