Teaching English in Asia is really big. If you're young and not someone from that country (or possibly the surrounding countries even), it could be a good opportunity.
They usually pay for your apartment alone and you get about $2000 per month. I usually see that they'll give you the money in the local $$, such as Won for Korea. It will be a culture shock. You don't have a lot of people who speak English, if any, and the complete lack of America products is something to come to terms with.
Make sure you go through a reputable company or make sure that the program is good. Programs like EPIK (Korea) exist that actually are supported by a government program. There are horror stories of hagwons (private institutes) up and closing, leaving their teachers out in the cold.
You'd be shocked by some of the stories I've heard.
Anyway, the bottom line is that there are side effects in the egg donor process. I would not consider it an option to make money.
If you've heard and believed shocking stories about women whose lifetime supply of eggs has been harvested and left them barren, there's a nice old bridge in NYC up for sale really cheap. There are side effects to pretty much every medical procedure ...
My best friend went ot Korea for a year to teach english before she came back to apply for grad school. She only took this option because she wanted a new atmosphere and learning experience.. (She also knew how to speak their language..)
It's not for everyone but if you're young, single, no kids.. Why not??
I did that for a year in South Korea (suburb of Seoul). Had a good social life, took 2 vacations to SE Asia, and returned to the US with $10k saved up. But I wanted to go. I wasn't motivated purely by money. That said, it's only a year, and I met plenty of people who didn't like living in Korea but stuck around for a year for the salary.
