I was wondering what people's tenacity was when it comes to looking for employment. Like how many resumes are how persist ant they are when it comes to looking for work.
I aim for 3-5 a day, but it definitely depends on the available job listings and how tired I am from work. If I can't find any positions to apply to then the number decreases.

That's a hard question to answer because some days there could be no jobs to apply to and then some days there are a lot of jobs to apply to. I usually try to apply to 5 jobs a week that I feel I;m a good fit for which has an acceptable salary.
Between Indeed, Monster, and Career builder, I've sent upwards of 15 applications in a single day.
I remember I applied to one job and the confirmation email told me how many had also applied. It was over 4,000 people.
I don't know why Careerbuilder includes that information on the receipt after you apply to a job. I mean why do i need to know that 344 other people also applied to the same job?
When I was looking out of college I sent 600 in 3 months. This was in 2009.
It's amazing what people when do when they can't live off the government for 2 years.
I know... must be nice to draw UI for 2 years applying to 3 jobs a week. That lifestyle is coming to an end however... all states will be off EB this year and some have already eliminated Tier 4 EUC with more cutbacks coming... 99 (or 79) weeks is far too long anyway. If you can't find a job in a year you need to lower your standards.
Could you really not find a job or could you not find one paying 20 dollars an hour? A question the long term unemployed should ask themselves.

To crush your hopes. I was astonished when I saw so many had applied.

Would you take a job paying 8 an hour at 20 hours a week knowing you'd lose the roof over your head in the process?
Unemployment is hardly big bucks, but for many, they'd rather be unemployed than homeless.
