Guys, kindly help!!!
Am in kind of a fix. Am an engineering fresher just out of college. Got 60%. Barely meet the eligibility criteria of most of the jobs. My dad works as a consultant in three prominent companies in my city. Now he wants me to excel (as most dads do)... but me being a mediocre child of simple wants( though not that simple too).... So he used his contacts to "get" me a position as a management trainee in a prominent bpo company's it sector..... Now you must be thinking what the hell is my problem....

Well here it is.... first they are offering a package too low ( i mean leave alone the low training package, even after being recognized as their full-time employee will be barely enough for anything much).... secondly they are trying to bind me in a 2 year contract.... with a huge penalty fine.... My dad says he will support me for the 2 years... then I have to leave for MBA..... thing is I am sick of studying.... and sick of being crippled because of his money... want to stand on my own feet..... but dad has to leave for a foreign trip in ten days and wants to "settle" me in a job before then..... Moreover his precious high society clientele advice him for the prestigious company with lower package instead of a mediocre company with a MUCH better pay-scale....

Now any advice of how to say NO to him without being offensive( though believe me sometimes i wish to do so) and keep on looking for better pay-scale jobs would be HIGHLY APPRECIATED!!!

You got 60% of what?

Is he going to support you if you say "no"?

Based on what I can comprehend from your post, you do not consider yourself to be very employable, however you don't want the job your dad pulled strings for you to get, thinking that someone is going to offer you more money eventhough you are barely eligible for most jobs. Is that correct?

What country is this in? I have a feeling we might not be dealing with an American situation? Perhaps India?

"Decline job offer jacked for me to the person himself"

I don't know what this means, but it sounds awesome.
