Back in the day, about 10 years ago Geography graduates had their pick of jobs. My nephew
received multiple jobs offers before he graduated. Today that is not the case!

That is how most majors today are, even in STEM.

The way things are today, the time to start looking for a job related to your major is before you even go to college.

Too many kids are going to college. We have a massive college graduate oversupply. These kids are just racking up thousands of dollars in debt and they end up in some silly customer service/data entry job when they graduate. What are these parents thinking??

On the other hand, I don't know any truck driving students who are unemployed. Unemployment rate is 0% for qualified truck drivers. Most truck driving jobs don't even request a HS diploma.

Too many kids are going to college getting degrees in literature, business, psychology and other liberal arts majors that are almost worthless in the US job market today.

Years ago there were middle class jobs at US companies that might train people with these degrees.
Those companies have moved to Mexico, China, Canada, etc. the past several years.
