I interviewed for my "dream" company and job about a year ago, went through a phone interview, and an all-day on-site interview with several of their employees. I was rejected.
The position I interviewed for is no longer listed on their website but they have another similar position (with similar requirements) open.
Would it be worthwhile to try again? If so, is 1 year too soon to try again?

Give it another try. Sometimes perseverance pays off.
Yes, definitely try. I think that is why many applications ask if you've ever applied for a job with company XYZ before.
I think it will show them that you are really interested in working for them. If you can portray to them that it's your dream job, that could go a long way I think.

I would say yes since you made it to the final round. You probably need to wait 2 or 3 years.
You would apply if you sent them your resume and never heard anything. So I think it is worth a shot to apply. If they liked you enough to have multiple interviews last time, why wouldn't they want to consider you for this?
Yes, apply again. The job I just got was my 3rd try for 2 types of positions at the same place.
