Some advice needed here..
Had a job interview for my DREAM JOB on July 13th got an email on Aug 13th asking if I was still interested in the position and if it was okay that they check references. Aug 14th HR calls my supervisor with no luck. My supervisor has been trying to get a hold of HR with no luck. I have tried calling the lady from HR but her voicemail now says that she will be away until Sept 5th. I'm not sure if this is good at all. I think I'm over analyzing everything but i'm the type of person that needs reassurance when it comes to things like this. In my past experiences I have only been offered a position when references are checked. It's been 2 weeks and my current supervisior cant get a hold of HR and now i'm worried that they arent interested anymore. Any advice would be great!!

I tried calling them on Monday and all they said was "we'll make sure she follows up with you when she returns"...do you think the job sounds promising for me?

I think you should have your supervisor call again and just leave a summary about you in the voicemail. It make be all that is needed and would have a lot of time.
