Not so much "animosity" as total disagreement with a time-wasting exercise - time-wasting for someone who's hiring. I doubt that anybody who's ever been either a business owner or someone responsible for hiring would feel differently for a heartbeat about someone using the application and interview process as purely a training exercise.
How is that any different than a company interviewing a applicant after the job has been filled????????????

It's more of a shame that you can't be bothered to read and comprehend that, far from not understanding the PURPOSE of doing so, I simply disagree with such a practice for all the reasons carefully and simply stated.
So when a company interviews a person knowing that the position is filled what is that called???
That isn't something even remotely close to any opinion I was expressing. Repeat: "Please point out where I either said that or even inferred it."
