I heard it is best to have your resume fit into one page or two pages full but my resume is one page and 1/5 pages long. Does that look really bad?

I looked at what I could cut out and there are a few things that doesn't relate to the job but is a type of boasting that hopefully makes me look good.

Resumes can be 2 pages long. Not sure where this silly rule came from that a resume has to be one page. That's not even possible if you been in the workforce for more than 10 years.

My resume is almost three pages long. It's more important that the right content is there for the electronic resume scanners than it is if the resume is not too long.

I think it depends if you are sumitting it electronically or in-person. The electronic resume algorithms are looking for buzz words and if you submit more, you have a better chance of hitting those buzz words. In-person I think it's best to have a 1 page for convenience sake...
