I had a phone screen then I drove 115 miles for the 1st round of interviews. They liked me so I got to the second round of interviews. In the first meeting of the second round my potential manager asked me about salary. The body language was good and they even talked about a person who hadn't worked out. As they left she said it would be around 2 weeks until I heard. The next person I met was the managers boss, and at the end of this meeting he said "Your resume looks great, we'd be hapy to have you". The third person I met was the top dog VP she asked me a few questions to get a feel for me and my background and interests. She then answered my question about the corporate culture and used most of the time discussing that.

Yes I know I need to keep looking, but my gut tells me I will get an offer. I would be THRILLED to get this job! Thoughts? Comments? It's a big company but it would be nice if they got back to me sooner rather than later.

Keep looking. All kinds of things can happen up until the job offer.

Good luck!

None of us want to rain on your post-interview high, but sometimes things happen that are out of both your control and the hiring manager's control.

It ain't real til the offer letter is accepted. Until then, best not to pin all your hopes on a single prospect. Plus it never hurts to have a couple good options to chose from instead of just one.

However, congrats on what sounded like a great interview!!

yep, things sound very promising right now and hopefully things work out!

but keep looking! if nothing else, it will help keep your mind occupied while you're waiting. this stage of the process always makes time slow down to a crawl on the applicant's side. just be patient, hope for the best but prepare for the worst!

I would say keep looking until you get a verbal offer. And then once you get a verbal offer then you can slow down the search to every other day until the written offer arrives. But until then you definitely should keep looking for somrething better.

But I know how it feels to have that one job you want so bad and just waiting for a answer.

Keep applying to other jobs. There is no job until it is signed in blood.

As everyone has said, keep applying for other roles. You dont know what the competition looks like nor do you know what the execs are really thinking about you. Too often people confuse polite conversation or genuine interest for "yes im dying to hire you."

Regardless, you can put yourself out of this unnecessary misery by calling and asking for a status update...

Yes, you may get an offer. You also may not get an offer. The top three candidates for the position may have received the same treatment as you, so don't stop looking until they make YOU an offer.

It sounds like the interview went great and my fingers are crossed for you, BUT, you don't have an offer in hand yet. Keep looking until you do!

I will say that sometimes you get a feeling that lets you know that a offer is coming. I had that feeling twice because of how the interview ended because the interviewer is usually more clear on when you will hear a answer.

But If you hear one of these below after a interview then it's not a good sign.

we will contact you in the next 2 weeks

OR

We have some others to interview
