also ask them what THEY are wearing.

i actually have done phone interviews naked, but for serious, some people do better if they dress like they are interviewing in person. it depends on your personality.

oh and good general interview advice: PRACTICE. with another human, if you can. someone who actually does hiring is best. practice over the phone too, so you can get feedback on your volume and tone of voice.

at the very least, think about some common interview questions (tell me about yourself, examples of times you solved problems or dealt with a difficult situation or person at work, industry-specific things) and draft answers to them so you have a bit of a structure in your head. you don't want to sound super-rehearsed, but you don't want to be fumbling around either.

good luck!

I did Google, for the record. But always like to come here and ask since when I was researching, I was mostly getting captain obvious answers. Be on time for your interview. Well, duh.

Everything here seemed to do the trick as I am moving on to the testing portion of the interview and was invited to prepare and come present next week before the end of the call. The company from what I understand is hiring multiple people for this role, and the hiring manager let me know that if I can prove myself with my presentation that things will probably bode well in my favor.

Pretty pumped as it would be quite a salary increase and would cut my commute in half.

Thanks everyone.
