But I was already in the recruiters database after applying for a job online that they'd previously posted. This particular staffing agency had been in touch with me for months trying to help match me to a position.
My current job I either applied to, or the hiring manager found my resume online. I am honestly not sure, since I don't remember applying for it, but *do* remember browing that listing. A couple of weeks later, I got a call and that was all she wrote.
My last job, and first real job, started as a temp admin assignment. I was brought on permanent and got promoted twice. I only got my current job because I earned the title at the first place.
My first job was before internet - 1994 I did the paper application.
Then my other job was temp agency - I applied on their website and started temping.
I am currently trying to find a permanent job. Not working out so well. Temp agency not helping.

Networking for my latest job, through knowing people in my field via volunteering groups and industry groups. I kept in touch with these people in Linkedin and would have interviews time to time. Most of my prior jobs (out of school) were either through employment agencies or applying directly.
In 2007, I posted my resume on a website that's focused on jobs in my profession. Received an email response that same day from a company a few hours away. Went in for an interview and was offered the job.
My last job was through a former coworker, who heard about an opening through a vendor -- very glad that she had my email address!!
I'm hoping to start a new job in a few weeks, and that was through another former coworker as well. I've gotten lots of responses from online applications, but it really helps to have a personal connection!
I originally had gotten into restaurant recruitment via an ad I responded to on Craigslist. The gentleman called me and we clicked immediately. He trained me so well, that I ended opening my own recruitment firm a few years later.
My prior jobs were found through job boards such as Monster.com, and Careerbuilder.com. I responded to the advertisement, got called for an interview, and was offered the position shortly after.
