the first job i applied for this time around (back in october) was on craigslist and i got an interview. it was a legitimate job with a nonprofit.

you have to be careful of the garbage and scams on cl but there are legitimate jobs there too.

i got my current job by filling out an online application on my employer's site. the one before that i started out as a temp. before that was all retail jobs at small businesses (plus the town pool and the library when i was a teenager) and i just walked in and filled out a paper application. oh except this one data entry job, i don't remember what the application process was. probably online though.

My husband's job relocated us to a new city/town and while I was talking to our health insurance company I just asked if they were hiring.
