No, it was not. That was someone's interpretation.

Neither one. I am not looking for a job. But if I was, I would do what was asked of me to apply for several reasons.

One, it's their company and they can do what they want.

Two, following simple instructions is very necessary in all jobs. Many people can't follow directions on an application, how can they do a job without being hand held all the time?

Three, I do whatever HR asks of me. If they ask me to do the Hokey Pokey and I am interested in the job, then I dance the Hokey Pokey badly. I wouldn't audition for the Rocketts because I can't dance, I would however apply to McDonald's. It's actually not a bad place to work. Worked there in high school One of my favorite jobs ever believe it or not.

Four, companies have policies and rules for a reason. Why? that's their business. If I start a business, i can make my own rules. Until then, I'm out of luck.

Five, because they said so. My mother would love that one!

Being homeless or starving would be beneath me. Keeping up with the Kardashians is not going to help me in life. Pretty sure my husband would be REALLY ticked off if I was on dating sites for "adult fun." That would probably make me homeless actually! As in kicked to the curb.

Only if the online application is connected to a person in HR who I have spoken to on the phone.

The electric atleast tries to work with you but cable does not. If you can't pay they cut you off

Wow TVandSportsGuy, you can't possibly be a "career counselor" or whatever you claim ....

If this is the attitude you convey at work, I see unemployment in your near future ... then we will be hearing about all that ... AGAIN ...

Not all "dishwashers" are borderline mentally retarded persons, some are people that just want a few extra bucks but don't have a lot of free time, or want to get their foot in the door for possible promotion ....

You do understand that in but a limited amount of restaurants/kitchens dishes are not washed one by one by hand and that person has other duties... but since you are a career counselor I guess you KNOW that.

yeah, but there's a limit to how much they can work with you. at some point, you are going to have to pay something or lose your service. and really, if you can't pay your electric, gas and phone bills without going on a payment plan or getting assistance, you should be cancelling your cable anyway.
