Renting a car could be cheaper than getting a taxi.

Not sure why cars are running so expensive for that day, but it's going to cost about $120. WTH! Last time I did a one day rental it was $60. Need to look around more.

Check Enterprise's rates. They have an office about 3 blocks from the MAX @ JELD-WEN Field (SW 18th).

You pay a premium for at airport car rental. There are a couple airport off-site car rental places.

I assume you are flying out of SNA. Stay on top of your local news as flights have been re-directed to LAX from SFO. That should clear up by Monday but one never knows.

Thanks for the advice about Enterprise (I know on Kayak, it was the cheapest but also $120 w/taxes, crazy, right?)

Actually, I'm flying out of LAX since I needed an early flight. What in the world is going on with the flights?

Try priceline.com. I found some cars for 60-70$ for next week. But over all the prices are really crazy.

There was a crash at SFO, flights were diverted to LAX.

Oooo, didn't think to check that. I'm going to go see what prices are for the day I need.

Thanks for the update. This is what happens when you don't have tv. LOL.

about restrooms. I find hotels and park in the parking lot and use the restrooms in the lobby. I usually find one or two hotels near the interview site. Then drive through the parking lot of the place for the interview. If I have more than half hour to waste, I go to the nearest hotel chain lobby and go to the restroom to freshen up and go back the lobby and site around and read my notes.

Heck, if you get the job you might be referring clients and coworkers to this hotel. Best you check it out ahead of time.

No clue what was going on when I looked at rental cars earlier, but it's dropped in price. Just got a car for $65 with all taxes. Now that's a lot better.

An interview question.

Usually I take a portfolio with me that holds my resume and a notepad. I was hoping to bring something smaller that could fit in my purse, but any purse I carry means folding the resume in half. Do you think that would be tacky? I figure I should also bring a small notepad (darn this is when I should have bought the Samsung Note 10 or whatever it's called, can I beam/tap them my resume?).

Thoughts on what to bring? I'm trying to keep my load light while traipsing through the airport.
