I was expecting a pink dyed mohawk or something like that.

I don't see anything controversial about that braided style of hair in the video. I'd actually say it has a more clean professional look than just standard braids.

I'm not a hiring manager, but it looks fine to me. As someone else mentioned, I was expecting bright colors and/or some sort of mohawk.
