When applying for a retail job at say, McDonald's, what steps would I follow? (application, wage)

1. Enter building.
2. Ask to speak to manager.
3. Present resume and ask if they're hiring, while pretending to be an energetic robot.

Is this correct? What steps would you add or change?

How am I being sarcastic? I was serious in everything I said. Obviously I wouldn't speak that honestly to my potential employer.
