Ran across this thread .... Just a final update. I did speak with the exec. It literally lasted 10 minutes of the 60 minutes scheduled. 2 minutes was him apologizing for not doing the video interview when scheduled and 8 minutes expressing further regret in regards to my continued efforts; he explained that he wanted the team to revisit the potential of hiring and relocating internal candidates instead; i didn't even have the opportunity to sell myself to him.

Wow, that sucks. At least he was up front about it, I guess.
