A startup who gets $70M is essentially a big name company in today's economy. You will learn tons. And that company will grow quickly. All of that is irrelevant if your job is not inline with your skills and interests. So please clarify those. You are looking at twi wildly different roles and have yet to mention your aspirations.
Verbal or written acceptance?
My interests are to work in the SaaS industry. Both operations and app support appeal to me equally! So both these roles are in line with my career goals.
I already accepted a written offer when I received my second offer. I need to decide by today
The advice you have gotten here is rock solid and priceless. Venture businesses are like riding a rocket.. go fast, aim high and if the business plan is great you land on the moon, if not they fizzle.
In addition to your personal assessment of the business you can see which VC's are providing the funds then look at the CV of managing partner who is providing guidance (they usually are on the Board).

Thanks everyone for the advice! I went with Company 1, this was the biggest decision of my life so far. Called Company 2's hiring manager and gave him the truth because I like him and wanted to be honest; also told him that I hope I could work with the company in the future.
