I am applying to construction management positions, but have masters degree in safety management. I also have 6 years of electrical construction experience and about one year of construction project management experience. There is a small amount of safety management in construction project management, but I am concerned that my Masters in Safety Management might not help me or even hurt me. What are your thoughts?

How is safety management not related to construction management?

Health and safety and Industrial Hygiene is a major component of CM.

If it was something like History or Computer Science, then I might leave it off.

I don't know why it would hurt you. Safety and risk management is very much related to construction.

I would leave it on. At a previous employer we had a risk manager with your degree. It was relevant to his role.

only way it hurts you is if you're applying at Mcdonalds, or as ray rice's domestic violence counselor prior to the video.
