Once upon a very long time ago when I graduated from college and could not find a job in my chosen field (teaching), I decided that since I had to work, I would try to find a job. I applied to so many places, it was unbelievable and was actually offered jobs by two businesses on Fifth Avenue in NYC. One was a famous chocolate shop while the other was a very high end and world famous jewelry store. Because the wages were so low, I hesitated and unsure about what to do, I found an employment agency that sent me on interviews and I didn't have to pay them to do so.
In short order, I found a job editing reports for analysts in a major, major Wall Street firm. The girl in the employment office at the firm became very friendly with me and I spent many lunch hours chatting with her. One day some people came into the office and she had them fill out pages and pages of forms. After they left, she took all of the papers and dumped them in the trash. She showed me some really gorgeous high end gifts (expensive pocketbooks, wallets, etc.) she had gotten from employment agencies after she hired the people they had sent (like me) into jobs. The company paid the agency and the agency sent her "gifts" in thanks. It was a win-win situation for everyone except the poor unsuspecting people who were seeking jobs by themselves.
I was in shock and felt really sorry for the people who in good faith, filled out these applications, really needed the jobs and ended up never being called back for an interview.
In some cases, not being hired (because of shady and questionable practices such as the one I witnessed) can be life changing or worse.
Good luck to everyone trying to find jobs. Perhaps you are not the problem in your own job hunt. Seek out these fee free agencies and see if your luck mysteriously improves.

Or your local state career center which is connected to unemployment. Those centers have connections with several employers in your area
When I answered my email informing me that there was a new post on this thread I received a warning from my security program not to click on the link. I didn't. I entered through the board itself.
Has anyone ever gotten a message like this about CD?
