I was laid off from my last job with a fancy title, a $100K a year salary and not as many skills and responsibilities as is typical for a "Director" level job. For years I did not complain but really thought it was amazing that they kept giving me big raises and fancy titles for an easy job that I only worked 35 hours a week.

Really I am not qualified for a Director level $100,000 a year position but when I apply for jobs online they ask me my current or last salary and job title. I suspect one of the main reasons I am not getting many call backs for interviews is they see I did not do Director level work and was paid 40% over market.

How can I get a more junior level job that are generally slotted for people in their 30s and 50s? (I am in my late 50s and want to work in an office job for another ten years.)

Another new twist to the tired old story to go along with the new user name. You need to start keeping a data base of the fabrications.

Seriously, have you considered seeking psychological help?

I have no idea why you keep making up variations on the same story with different usernames, and the stories are easily detectable due to the similar circumstances and somewhat peculiar language and phrasing you use.

Whatever itch that's scratching can't be healthy for you.
