"It was very nice meeting you yesterday to discuss the Senior Data Analyst position. As I explained in detail, we are completing the initial round of interviews and will move forward from there. I will be in contact with you as we move through the process."
Please explain what the bolded part means. I just realized I may not comprehend English as well as I thought if "As I explained in detail" is rude.
There is nothing rude in the perfunctory HR response -- that's what they do. The real problem is that you are writing to HR instead of someone in the decision loop. The role of HR is to 'eliminate' as many applicants as possible, typically based on trivial concerns.
HR rarely has any real clout in the hiring decision process. Sometimes it is unavoidable, but, wasting time in HR filling-out applications is a big 'red flag' that one is spinning one's wheels, rather than actually networking with people. HR is probably the #1 time and effort-waster of job hunters.
