I had always thought studying abroad was stupid - just an excuse for a semester or year long vacation. But does it significantly boost odds of landing decent jobs? If so, why? Why anymore so than a very long vacation would?

no more than going to college would... its about the skills, network you learn doing so...

why not study abroad? what disadvantage is there? the price is still the same because you pay the college and not the foreign one...

sure take a vacation... your life, your choices....
